Ah yes, the originals. I use the term loosely since they didn’t grow up in Fernie — instead it was all across Canada — but they are the originals in my care. 🙂 Since my husband was in the Canadian Armed Forces for nearly 22 years, a big part of our lives was spent exploring as we were posted from one end of the country to the other. This is one of the reasons I chose to be a stay at home mom and then take that then one step further to homeschooling all three of our children. Since school was at the kitchen table and included many outdoor ventures for over 10 years, I have plenty of practical experience in raising happy, confident people that excel in their helpfulness and stewardship, as well as their scholastic abilities and achievements.
Having become a licensed Early Childhood and Infant Toddler Educator since then has only enhanced my personal knowledge of children and their development so that I am focused on bringing the absolute best to your children and your family. I ensure that my own education is ongoing (I have only to complete my Special Needs practicum to gain that certification) and I am a firm believer in learning by play, playing outside as often as possible and taking something good from every experience, even if the experience is perceived as “bad.” I view working with your children as an absolute privilege as I believe that children are the most precious things. Thank you for trusting me with their care and well being.
